Surprises... With Stripes!

Riley's eyes widened.

"We've been going out for awhile."

Riley was honestly a bit surprised.

"I know that stupid," She said walking to grab a mountian dew.

"OH! Did I ask or did he? He did."

Riley smiled.

"I still remember that moment."

"There goes my sister in her Logan-iverse." She said chucking a Mountain Dew at her sister.

"Ooh, suspicious yellow liquid."

Riley said, catching the soda.

She cracked it open and looked at the can, "Ever see the resemblance between this.. and pee?"

"Sis," She replied "Mountain dews more green....You're talking about apple juice."

Riley took a sip and shrugged.

"They're the same really.."

Luci did a facepalm and sipped her dew.

"If theres any chance this is pee... i'm taking the risk."

Riley said, taking a big drink.

"Then Pee does taste good," She said before chugging it and crushing it to her forhead in the movies.

"Alright."

Riley said, chucking her can on the grass behind them.

"Let's go get your crap. I mean.. Stuff."

She said with a slight raise of her eyebrow.

She walked around to the front porch and put on her high tops, getting into her aunt Josephine's big black truck.

"Come on peanut gallery I'm not getting any younger."

Riley said, laying on the horn.

"Coming," She screamed putting on her outfit .

She walked around to the front porch and to her Aunt Josephine's big truck and sat in the passenger's side.

Riley smirked. "Let's go then."

She put on her seatbelt and turned the radio on, pulling out of the drive and started driving down the street. "So where exactly are we going?"

"New York City," She said reminding her sister that she lived in NYC. "Remember the exe boyfriend."

"The mugger.. Yes I remember that jerk."

Riley shrugged. "Hold on."

Riley turned down a country background and slammed her foot on the gas.

They were the only car on the road, so you could really let your hair down.

She had her window rolled all the way down and her arm was hanging out, hair flowing back behind her wildly.

"So.. How did you and that guy you know.. meet?"

"Well," She said "According to my life motto, Date someone totally wrong for you, so, I did."

"Well you've accomplished that one." Riley said, turning onto the interstate.

"Okay.. Be honest.. Do you think Logan and I are perfect for each other?"

"YES!" She said "You too were more happy than when you met James."

"James.." Riley said, tapping her hand on the steering wheel, "Was a mistake."

She turned off of the interstate onto another road, " He was just... Ugh. Didn't even treat me like a girl. Had to get him a beer every time he came over. And..."

Riley winced, "He used to hit me.."

"Same with Kai, but I won most of the time." She said

"Cheerleaders, Jocks, and my own foster parents used to hit me too." She said "I live at the safe house most of the time."

"Looks like we're here." Riley said, pulling up to the safehouse.

"I'll open the tailgate you start bringing out the stuff."

Riley said, getting a bungee cord.

Lucinda walked up the stairs and grabbed her guitars, Sketchbooks, notebooks, clothes, converse and her clothes. She then gra bbed her net and put everything except her guitars in the net.

"Should I drop the net down?" She screamed from the top of the roof.

"No way!" Riley hollered, "It'll squash the truck like a bug, Carry it!"

She pulled her hair up into a ponytail and rolled up her sleeves.

No particular reason, it was just comfortable.

Lucinda walked aalll the way down the stairs to the truck with her net and guitars.

"Done," She said.

"Get in the truck." Riley said, hopping up on the tailgate and strapping the net down with bungee cords.

She jumped down and shut the tailgat, getting back in the truck.

They drove and drove and when they got home, riley hopped out again, ready to help her sister unpack.
