Just a party....right?

Victoria had done it again. She had just finished setting up the stereo, and hoped that some of the fellow students would come, despite the fact it was midnight.

Riley sneaked through the courtyard and spotted victoria under a glimmer of red lights.

"Lanterns? Victoria you outdid yourself." Riley came up to hug her friend and looked around.

"Any of the-- Ahem-- Guys coming?"
She gave her a little wink. "Hey, maybe Logan will come and Darren will come and it'll be like a double--"

In the middle of her sentence Riley sneezed, " God, Stupid Allergies. Anywho..."

She smiled and walked over to the stereo. "Music anybody?"
She put it to a certain station and smiled, dancing over to Victoria.

"I wish Logan was here. Don't you?"

Victoria raised her eyebrows. "Hey, at least I don't act like I'm on a twenty four hour a day love potion."

She did a girly swooning impressing of Riley.

Christopher walked down to the beach, and for that matter, the source of the music. He was wearing swimming trunks, and only those, planning on jumping into the lake later.

"Hey guys," he said, greeting the girls with a small smile.

Riley flicked Victoria in her shoulder before turning to Christopher.

"Hey. Did uh, Did you see Logan?" She asked rasing a skeptical eyebrow.

"No, you know what, nevermind. Hehe..."

Riley nervously twirled her finger in her hair and looked around.

"Okay, I should just take break."

She went to sit down momentarily by the edge of the lake and watched the water lap onto the shore in the moonlight.

Slipping off her shoes she put her feet in the water and felt the rugged sandy bottom below her.

"I don't mind spending everyday, out on your corner in the pouring rain. Look
for the girl with the broken smile.... Ask her if she wants to stay awhile...."

Darren walked uncertainly down to the grounds, following Chris like a shadow.

"Uhm, hi guys." He said, smiling a little at Victoria.

Victoria returned Darren's smile, looking back nervously a bit at Riley, then turning back to Darren.

"Do you like it?" she asked and gestured at the vast tents.

Logan walked down to the grounds appreciatively looking around at the warm colors of the lights.

He spotted Riley and a small smile graced his lips. "Hi," he greeted her, stopping and kissing her hand playfully, a very bold move on his part.

Riley realized her hand wasn't in the sand anymore. And she heard a familiar voice.

Not just any voice.
"Logan!!" She jumped up and hugged the boy.

"I'm so glad you came. It would just be boring without you here."

She smiled at him, blushing a little.





In a quick motion she grabbed his hand and lead him up to the others, still smiling as she passed Victoria and Darren.

When Riley stopped she turned around and let go of Logan's hand.

"Well... Yeah. Uh...do you maybe want to.... dance?"

Victoria giggled, then she turned back to Darren and asked, embarrassed, "Do you wanna dance...? I really like soundtracks better than actual music...." She trailed off, and flicked her wand at the stereo, then smiled back up at Darren and began to dance with him.

Darren grinned. "You're definitely different, Victoria. I like that."

He waved his own wand at the stereo.

Riley smiled at Victoria and Darren. The two couldn't be more perfect for one another.

She turned back to Logan, " Well... Mr. Ragan." She skeptically circled the boy before pulling him into one of those i've-waited-my-entire-life-for-this dances.

" You know, This is perfect."

Victoria glanced at Riley and giggled.

She seemed to be having fun with Mr. Logan Ragan.

"Hey, guys!" Victoria chirped enthusiastically, "Wanna play spin the bottle?"

She grabbed an empty Sprite pop bottle and tossed it from side to side.

As soon as Victoria opened her mouth Riley's eyes were huge.

She started blushing like crazy and giggling and ended up sitting down for the game in a pool of regret but anticipation somehow struck her face, showing only a energetic smile.

"I... Uh I.. Uh... I.. I... I...--" Riley blushed again and covered her face.

I'm such a lovestruck idiot. She was right.

Victoria grinning, she chirped, "That's YES in Riley-speak. So now then, who's first?"

"Maybe you should go first." Riley said staring at the bottle with a twinkle in her eye.

" Just incase it's rigged or something.."

She really didn't want to spin. That'd just be so awkward for her.

Victoria shrugged. "Fine."

She set down the bottle, a twinge of nervousness in her gut.

Then Victoria spun it.

And it landed. Right. In. Front. Of. Christopher.

Victoria just stared and the Sprite label for a few seconds, then looked up at Chris.

"Uhm..." she gave a nervous giggle.

And then she just leaned in and gave him a lingering kiss.

Riley stifled a small laugh as Victoria's lips came into contact with Christopher's.

"Oooooohh.." She muttered sarcastically.

"See Victoria? This is why nobody plays Spin the bottle with a God Dang sprite bottle. They're evil!"

She pointed at the bottle awkwardly while it went silent for a few seconds.

Riley shrugged and leaned back on the sand.

Christopher blinked at Victoria.

Then he raised an eyebrow and smiled quizzically.

"'kay. Well, you learn something new everyday because I certainly didn't know Sprite bottles are evil."

He picked up the bottle and spun it.

And....it landed right on Riley.

Chris took a small breath and grinned, slightly confused, as he leaned in and kissed her.

Riley closed her eyes for a second then peeked as the bottle landed on her and the oncoming view of Christopher started getting closer.
"Well aren't YOU kissing all the girls today, Mr. Popular?" She joked.
Well.... i feel sheepish. Guess it's my turn.

She closed her eyes and spun the bottle, opening her eyes to see it land on herself.

"I love me, but i'm not that weird." She spun again and smiled awkwardly as the not-so-evil-anymore bottle landed on Logan.

"Why Hello Mr. Ragan.." She said awkwardly as she came up to him and kissed him quickly.

She sat back down and looked at the bottle, then at Logan, then at christopher, then at Victoria.

Two guys, two girls. Oh the irony.
