The start of change.

Riley stepped out from the other side of the car shutting the door.

"This the place?" She asked looking at the wooden sign reading 'Sally's Salon.'

"It's the only place I can afford." She replied looking back at her sister.

She ran out of money because some slimeball downtown stole her wallet.

"Keep whatever money you have." Riley said walking up to her.

"I'll pay."

She lead her inside and handed her eighty dollars.

"Spend it wisely."

Riley winked at her, sitting down in a waiting chair.

"Thanks," She replied putting the money in her pocket.

We both walked in the salon being greeted by a perky polly in sperrys.

Riley smiled watching her sister walk up to the counter.

She crossed her arms and looked around.

Faint elevator music played in the salon.

Are you kidding me..?

The lady came up to the desk and asked "How may I help you?"

"Um," Lucinda replied "I would like to change my hair color."

Riley looked to her right and there was a sleeping old man, drooling on his jacket.

Greaaaatt... Just wonderful.

She tried not to gag, and turned to her left.

A texting woman with three crying kids.

... You've got to be kidding me....

"Right this way please." The lady said grabbing Lucindas wrist.

When she was sat down she looked over at her sister grossed out.

"Come on," She shouted waving her sister to come over here.

Thank God, I can get out of here.

The texting woman glanced up at her and winked.

Confused, Riley just shook her head and pranced up behind her sister.

She stood behind her sister looking in the mirror, running her fingers through her hair.

"I'm going to miss this streaks of rainbow."

"Yeah I am to," She said looking at her pink and green.

"I would like," She said to the salon lady "Her hair color but with one red streak."

Riley stepped back as a scrawny woman chewing gum started working on her sister.

Now we'll actually look like twins.

She reminded herself, trying not to miss the old hair too much.

After the lady was done with her hair, and blow dried it.

"Now you two look like twins!" The lady said.

"We are twins." I said.

"Derp."

Riley said randomly, hugging her sister.

"You look great. And i'm not just saying that because you look like me."

She smiled widely.

"Although you are bigger than me, and always were, due to that ambilical chord you wrapped around my neck.."

She reminded her, laughing at the memory.

"Yeah sorry about that," She said laughing, she was a tough baby.

"Let's go!" She said knowing her sister wanted to get out of here and back to the academy.

"Great. These muggles keep staring at me like i'm the plague."

She said shrugging and dragging her sister back to the car.

She giggled before starting up her car and heading back to the academy.
