Just a Barbeque...

"we were walking and then and then- Uh... It just, happened. It was all like, WHOOSH and and- We gotta save him!" She squealed like a little girl,

"We have to."

"What happened? OH, IT'S LOGAN!"

Victoria said, in sudden realization.

"WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO?????!!!" She screamed, shaking victoria aggressively.

"We have to do something. I say we think of something fast before I have a freaking heart-attack."

"I don't know!"

Victoria said, exasperated, doing a facepalm.

"Fields aren't the greatest places where you should take a walk by Riley! At least not yours!"

"I know.. but i refuse to sit here and do nothing while Logan is dragged off by some sick FREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She angrily kicked over a bucket and sat down.

"I'm going after him." She stood up abruptly and started walking towards the field, clenching her wand, knuckles white.

"NO! WAIT FOR ME!"

Victoria sprinted after her, easygoing nature evaporated.

She could not let her friend put herself in danger without help.

And she didn't want to see Logan die.

"Alright fine, Watch out for Banana spiders.... They're all over the place."

She pushed into the field past a few cornstalks and looked around.

"LOGAN!!!!!????"

"LOGAN!!"

Victoria screamed.

She looked around wildly.

"Where the heck is he!!??"

She stepped further in and once again screamed, "LOGAN!!!?? WHERE ARE YOU??!!!!!!"

Victoria looked around, panic rising in her throat.

Somehow, she and Riley had been separated.

It was silent. The swaying of the stalks breezed in her ears.

"Where could he be Victoria?"

Riley turned around and realized Victoria was gone.

Oh god no....

"Victoria..!!!???"

She cupped her hands around her mouth and screamed, "LOGAN!!!????"

Her scream split the air.

Victoria fell as black closed around her vision.

At that moment a few young guys enclosed around her in the center of the field.

"You...... CRUCIO!" She lashed out her wand and screamed but at that second it all backfired as one clasped his hand over her mouth and pulled her close so she'd not wriggle her way out.

The world was spinning in the whole scenario that seemed to last no more than a few seconds.

The hand over her face was hard to breathe under, and it went black.







Riley opened her eyes suddenly in the outskirts of the field tied up.

"Gahh... What?"

She wiggled and fell over.

"You've got to be kidding me.."

She quickly propped herself up and sighed, waiting for something to happen.

Fail, riles... Fail.

She was unconscious, in a world of dark.

Can kidnappers be hot? I thought baddies were hot...sometimes...

Victoria groaned, vision still black.

"Victoria...?"

Riley agitatedly stirred around and tried to look for maybe Victoria or Logan.

Max had heard a scream.

She whipped around, having been in the woods, eyes wide.

Cornfields.

Max never knew they were dangerous.

Riley felt a flash of insanity sweep over her.

Everybody looked like a lizard for awhile...

Things started swirling.

Wah, wah.. wah wah...

Logan groaned.

A young male voice spoke, rasping,

"If you want to live, punk, you better cooperate. Don't. Move."

Logan winced.

His body felt like it was on fire.

Wait.... my pocketknife! YES...

Through tied up hands she quickly slipped the knife from her back pocket and started cutting at the ropes.

Okay..... just a flick of the wrist and... bingo.

She tried to pretend she still was bound, but she slipped back into the corn and stood up.

"now... where are they..?"

She peeked through the stalks and thought she spotted Victoria.

Or is it Logan..?

He had nothing.

"What-"

Logan began, confused, as he heard footsteps.

Then a pain in his head and the world went black once again.

"He's right there..." she breathed, slowly manovering through the corn.

She tried to be subtle and got down.

Army crawl time I guess...

She pulled herself across the ground came up behind Logan.

Is he dead??

Thinking nothing of it, she poked his shoulder.

Warm.. He's alive.

She slowly pulled out her knife.

Alright...... Here goes nothing.

Victoria swam into consciousness.

She moaned quietly, stiff and painful all over.

Then she screamed.

Feeling metal on her flesh, a knife digging into her skin.

She sank back into the darkness of a coma? or something worse.

Riley's ears filled with a piercing sound. A scream.

Victoria...

Quietly she peeked out from the stalks where she was cutting and looked around wildly for the girl.

Black. Dark. Nothing. Pain gnawing at her.

She just hoped, if she would die, that Riley and Logan would get away....somehow.

Riley stood quietly, masked behind the swaying stalks of the corn and watched, breathlessly as the men turned to trail off.

They must be going to get another 'Victim.'

She ran over to victoria and tried to pick her up.

"Come on we have to go, all of us. Victoria? Victoria. Vicky!"

Huh, usually that works...

She slapped the girl in the face as hard as she could.
