Just breathe

Lately Lucinda has been finding scars all over her body some that she hasn't seen. She's scared, she can't remember where they are from. Tears started streaming down her face as she remembered a horrible memory, with her cruel, vile, evil mother. Agatha.

"Lucinda!" Her mother screamed "Get it right, you must learn to resist pain."

"I-i-i can't Agatha." she said about to black out.

"Try it AGAIN." she barked. She closed her eyes and nodded.

Agatha took out her wand aimed it at her daughter "Curcio!"

She fell to the ground crying out in excruciating pain.

Agatha huffed "Should've taken your sister."

She kicked Lucinda in the gut adding to her pain.

She walked into her old house, the one she lived in with her mom.

Memories flooded back to her, as she felt like running back away.

Face the pain.

She walked through the house...drenched in tears.

It was pouring outside, and Riley wheeled through the town silently.

Hood up, she turned around a pole down a backroad, pushing herself along on the drenched asphalt. "Like the fresh air... And your windblownt hair..." She sang, smirking.

She had no idea why she was in New York. No Idea.

But with a gingerly flip of her hair she wheeled up to the house where Lucinda and their mom lived..

She grudgingly breathed inwardly, rolling up the stone drive, splashing through a puddle as she kicked the skateboard up into her hands.

Before she went inside she looked up at the sky, "Hey G, you taking requests?" She asked, thinking hatefully of her Mom.

She walked inside quietly, looking around amd skimming her fingers on the tearing drywall.

"Upstairs!" she shouted sitting in her old room.

She looked at the blood stained room, bed, walls and windows.

She heard the drywall falling, as she looked down at the bloody floor.

I slept here...

Riley nodded, "Kay!!" She hollered, running upstairs and gasping as she entered the blood-stained bedroom.

"Lucy, what is this?" Riley asked, sitting down beside her on the tattered sheets. Beside the dying fire as she waited for a response from Lucinda, who seemed torn on the inside.

"Mom did The cruciatus curse on me and if I cried in pain she'd kick and punch me, I uh tried to fight back but she pin me down and slice me with a razor." she said.

"I had to live here. For 13 years." she said "But one day I had the idea to run. So, I did."

Riley hugged her sister, "I'm here for you.." She said.

"Thanks sis," she sniffled.

"I also have some problems to talk with you." she said frowning.

"Shoot." She said, nodding.

Problems?..

"I'm kind of worried, Jeremy's a pure blood, I'm worried his parents won't like me. He's an only child." she said.

"I love him so much, I can't lose him sis. I c-can't!" she said.

She was a wreck her hair got a frizzy and she went from a pretty skirt to sweatpants and a tee shirt.

"I'm a complete wreck!" she said

Ever single thing that was on her mind came out.

Riley put her hand on her sister's shoulder, "Jeremy and you are tighter than a pair of skinnyjeans, trust me!" she said, trying to cheer her up, "It doesn't matter about blood as long as you have each other. and I know Tang, He's not one to give up easily." She said, smirking.

"What matters is that you love him, and your perfect for eachother, no matter what his parents think." She said, grinning.

"Alright, Dr. Phils gotta pee. This place got a bathroom?"

"Agatha's room." she said.

"Thanks sis," she said smiling with her hand in her pocket playing with the bracelet she made for Jeremy.

Riley nodded, walking out into the hallway, sneakers leaving footprints in the dirty carpet.

She somewhat gaged from the stench of her mother's old room, "GOD, DID A COW DIE IN HERE OR SOMETHING?!" she asked, plugging her nose as she walked through the room into a bathroom, coming out moments later and sitting back down beside her sister.

"Did you tell him yet?" she asked, smirking.

"Um not yet." she said.

Riley stood up abruptly, "I told Logan I loved him, you gotta tell Jeremy." She said, getting excited and jumping up and down on the bloody carpet.

"... This room makes me wanna vomit, Can we go for a walk?" she asked, grinning.

"Yeah this room makes me want to tear it down." she said before getting up and breaking a window with her bare hand.

Riley shielded her face from a shard of glass with her jacket, "Yeah let's go before someone dies." She said, pulling her sister out of the house, grabbing her skateboard as she dragged her out into the yard. "So..?" She asked, wheeling quietly down the drive out to the road, "Ever wanted to do anything, special?"

"Um," she said "Let's go to the brew!"

"I get free coffee now!" she exclaimed dog whistleing and her skateboard coming underneath her.

Riley laughed, "Wow." she said, pushing off the asphalt as she roleld onto the road, sneakers hitting the ground once in awhile. "So... Logan. What do you think of him?" she asked, "I always wanted Dad to meet him but.. He's dead now so..." She trailed off, looking away.

"Well, introduce him to Eric or Josh." she said

"you two are made for each other I should know," she said wheeling past her sister and winking at her from behind

Riley grinned, "We are.. aren't we..." She said quietly to herself, giggling and pushing off the ground, whizzing past her sister, "Come on, Coffee don't wait for NOBODY!" She said randomly, speeding up.

"I'm coming," she said suddenly moving faster past her sister right in front of the brew.

"You still have the stone I gave you?" she asked.

"Yeah, why?" She asked, pulling it out of her jacket, as it was tied around her neck like a necklace.

"Watch," she said picking up her skateboard tapping it with her finger. It shrinked into one of those kid tech deck things.

"You can keep the stone." she said. "Try it!"

Riley hesitantly poked her skateboard.

"WEIRD!" she shrieked as it folded up like origami and she clipped it on her belt like a keychain.

"....Alright, I need a latte." she said. and they walked inside, Riley sat down and banged her face on the counter, "Hit me with a double." she said, looking up, "I'm beat."

"she's with me," she said walking in.

"hit me with a milkshake, please." she said.

"How are you Lesleh " asked Lucinda.

"Good," she said handing them their drinks.
